I could easily repeat data to "down" (ctrl + D) and right (ctrl + R),
now how can I fill-in logical data ? For instant write "1" in the
first cell, and fill all other cells beneath with 2, 3, 4 ... n ? or
dates like 1/01/2012, 2/01/2012, 3/01/2012 .... 2013, 2014... ?
Enter '1' in one cell, and '2' in the cell directly below it. Select
both cells, then grab the bottom left hand corner of the selection (the
cursor changes to a cross-hair when you point at it) and drag down as
far as you want. This also works with dates.

Hmm, not bottom left, but bottom right. You can also use the appropriate
command from the menus: Data/Fill/Series.
