Hello! First of all, I would like to thank the author of gThumb for this
exceptional piece of software, which accompanies me since my first days
in Linux. I hope to be able to give something back by signaling what I
believe is a bug: some days ago, while moving some images through my
many partitions, I noticed this strange behaviour. Let's assume I am
moving pictures from partition A to B: as for default setting, B is then
displayed, together with the newly moved images. Now let's say I press
the 'back' button to return to A, then I move some other files to C:
when I'm into C, if I press 'back', I will go to B instead of A!
Similarly, when moving files A->D, A->E and A->F, my history will
display F, E, D, C, B and then A... of course you can easily return to A
by opening the whole history tree, but I think this isn't the intended
behaviour (I could be wrong, of course).
There's also something I'd like to request as a feature in new versions
of gThumb. I really enjoyed being able to choose last used folders in
the old copy/move interface: gThumb kept a list of last <n> folders (<n>
was user-configurable if I recall correctly) which could be chosen to
copy/move the selected files into, without even opening them - and this
was VERY useful, especially because some of my picture directories can
be very long to open! ;)
If this behaviour could be implemented into the new gThumb, I would be
very happy!
Thanks and keep up the good work!
Alessandro Prunai
