Try gtk_widget_set_usize (button, my_width, -1) perhaps.
Also, I'd like knowing if (and where) GTK 2.0 is avaible (beta version is
good too) and if there is a Gtk-Clock inside it.
A sort of old beta is on ftp.gtk.org, newer code is in CVS. There's no
GtkClock planned.
