Disabling Tearoff Menus

Hi there,
is there a way to get menus to be not of the tearoff type? It seems any
menu I create using glade becomes a tearoff menu. I'm not sure if this is
libglade's work, or glade's, but I do know gnome has a
gnome_preferences_set_menus_have_tearoff call to set preferences, so I'm a
bit lost with my non-gnome, gladed app. Help? :-)
