gtk_color_selection_dialog fails

Hi
Using gtk 1.2.8 I get an error when I run testgtk and bring up a color 
selection dialog.
I get 
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 1835 error_code 8 request_code 62 minor_code 0

This only happens when I have my .gtkrc set up to use colors. My guess is that 
I'm running
out of colors when the dialog goes to display the color circle.

Ant way around this?
