Hi, I'm the author of a small GTK+ application for FreeBSD (http://energyhq.homeip.net/brain.html) and have noticed that compiling with GTK+ 2.0 results in a noticeable slower executable. I'm aware that a lot of changes were made to GTK in the meantime, but why is it so much slower? Any hints?
