Entry and Text Widgets with color

Hi
how to do in GTK 1,2 in a text or entry widget

"default color text  RED_WORD continue with default"

how to change color inside a text. HOw is this text to insert
in the widget  set_text inserts the whole string. Have I to insert
char by char and set the style context at the wanted places.
