most og the gnome/gtk apps follow one of these two
- (gnu?) coding style (i.e. 2 spaces indentation etc, used in gtk+
sources itself)
- gnome coding style (indent with 8 spaces long tabs, similar to the
linux kernel coding style with some small differences
