Faking GtkStyle

Hi all,

 I need to do a replacement for a GTK widget, but I want to re-use its
style object, so to get properties from it. I managed to find a couple
of instances of code on the net where this is done, but I couldn't make
it work. Here's a test I putted together:

 Any hint on what I am doing wrong?
