how to get a list of filenames in folder?

I want to do it with fillechooser button, in a way to choose folder first,
and then to get a Glist of all filenames. Since filechooser button doesn't
permeet option "multiply selection" , I retrive a list of filenames using
filechooser widget. Is they a way to make it work with filechooser button?
