gtk+/contrib dir?

I have a tiny genclass.pl script (generates gtk+ class templates -
http://www.redhat.com/~sopwith/genclass.pl) that might be useful to widget
writers, but I don't think it's worth a separate package or anything :-)

Would it be appropriate to create a gtk+/contrib directory, and just have
a bunch of EXTRA_DIST files within?
