I don't have any benchmarks, but with the same SVGA-Server in 16 bits and
800x600, KDE draws the windows a lot faster than GNOME or
GTK applications do. (The same is true for the Banshee server, as I have
seen it...)
What I mean is that if it's possible than the redrawing of GTK
applications is slower by a factor of design of the API? Does anybody
knows something? Can it be solved?
