gtk-calendar

Just looking through the source of gtkcalendar, and I noticed that
it has it's own date routines included, instead of using those from
glib. The functions don't match up exactly between the two, but they
are close.

Is there any current plans to use glib date routines in this function?

I've notices most gtk/gnome things seem to avoid using glib's date
routines. Any particular reason, or just never got converted over?
