Canvas Widget

Hello everybody,

the GTK+ todo list has an entry

  'Figure out how to get GnomeCanvas or a derived
   work into GTK+ itself.'.

Sadly, the status says 0% work done yet.

So I guess there will be no canvas widget
in GTK+ 2.0. Is there a road map when it
will be included?

I guess Gnome Canvas does not run under
Windows.
