nano-X weigths at about 130 KB in disk size and 2 MB in RSS (with the
X target, it's lower with the framebuffer target, arch x86).
libgdk-nanox, stripped, but non complete yet, is 90KB.
In embedded systems a lot of widgets can be left out of the library,
maybe using the same library reduction tricks used in the debian boot
floppies.
As for the screen size, gtk needs to be user configurable in all
the respects (spacings in buttons, for example), but that is a target
for 1.4 anyway. 320x240 is the minimum to get usable (whole screen)
applications.
nano-X lets you compile the server into the application, if you want:
that's very useful for single-application appliances.
