Installation of gtk-1.3.2

Hello,
I've just installed glib1.3.2 using a different prefix for the configure
file.
Installation is OK but when I want to install Pango0.13 or GTK1.3.2,
configure file cannot find the glib.conf despite I put the same prefix as
GLIB. Can anyone tell me if I need to add more directory directions in
configure file.
