This is clearly mis-information. Libc or libX or Motif on proprietary Unices
(or Win32/MFC on Windows) are part of the operating system distributed by
proprietary OS vendors and thus can be linked to GPLed code due to the "system
clause." A proprietary GDK does not count as such.
Please check your facts first before spreading them.
