It took me a minute to figure out what you meant. ;-) If anyone else
is confused, he means the alternating row colors as with
Mac/Nautilus.

This is gtk_tree_view_set_ruled_hint() which hints to the theme that
alternating colored rows are useful for the tree view, since you have
long rows or whatever. Themes can choose to use rules always or never
or only when the hint is set.
