Isn't what you call "E's virtual root hack" the very same as the EWMH's
_NET_VIRTUAL_ROOTS way of implementing virtual screens ?

So shouldn't the special handling of "E's virtual root hack" be converted
in support for _NET_VIRTUAL_ROOTS instead of just being removed ?
