I think you're right. Although I'm no gettext expert, I looked at the
latest gettext (v0.10.39), and it's po/Makefile.in.in handles DESTDIR
perfectly. I'll check that autogen.sh does 'gettextize --copy (--force)'
then I'll remove this file from CVS.
