I have just uploaded a tarball of gtkglarea updated to work with GTK+ 
2.0 to ftp.gnome.org:

This is a non maintainer release, as he didn't respond to email.  The 
1.2.x version has been branched as gtkglarea-1-2, so you can get it from 
CVS with:
 cvs get -r gtkglarea-1-2 gtkglarea

It is possible that the win32 backend code is broken in this release. 
It would be good if one of the win32 guys could look at it.  There are 
also a number of functions that were marked deprecated in the 1.2.x 
series, and now would probably be a good chance to remove them (maybe 
add compatibility defines just in case).
