Re: new win32 port of GTK

Thanks for your support. It means alot to me.
Others have written to me personally expressing interest and showing
support of my effort.

I would like to ask again, for the last time :
Dear GTK admins, can you please provide a link from your page to my
effort? Can you point any developers who use debian and mingw32 for
cross compilation to my page? Would you even be willing to host the
packages created?

Maybe we can even translate this into rpms as well? I dont know enough
about it, but it should be possible to create a spec file that uses the
cross compiler to build as well?

I have requested a APT repository on Debian for these packages,
then we can store them in a central place.

As to patches, all patches will be posted to the right people.

As to separate distributions, each group has their own version of gtk
that they use, redhat, debian, kde. It is completly fair to set up a
new distribution that has a different concept.

Yes, I have started to use that to begin with, and it is good.
the debian dpkg version of mingw32 is easier to install for me

well, i am still struggling to get gtk itself compiled.

it is really handy and easy to use, once set up.

yes, care has to be taken, and as I said, first we are building
statically :)
