In the most recent version of IE you can get for Win98SE, the throbber
is a permanent eyesore in the northeast corner of the window. It doesn't
move with any of the bands of the CoolBar (a.k.a., ReBar), and can't be
removed. In Gtk+ terms, it's like packing the menubar at the start of
an hbox and the throbber at the end.
