New file chooser (latest version)

Hi all,

This may be too late in the selection process to change anything, but 
would it be possible to have a decent explanation of why the 
GtkFileChooser that you're working on now differs so much from the 
mock-ups I saw a few months ago from tigert?
In particularly, why have you done away with a text entry box in the 
main file selector, in favour of a pop-up hidden behind a magic key-combo?
And is the current version final, or is there the possibility to 
re-model things slightly to bring back at least a text entry box?
