It seems like libpapi is a bit limited in what we want to do (no ppd
support, no async apis etc). It looks like we will end up with some sort
of internal interface to support various backends, and we'll have at
least one that uses cups directly, and one that uses lpr (which should
be generally portable on most unixes).
This way, interested parties who do not use cups but want something more
powerful than lpr can work on their own backend.
