gtk: hide window when minimized

Hello,

could anyone tell me how can I hide window, when user minimizes it?
I tried to handle signal 'window-state-event', but when in that method i 
hide window,
strange things happen - window hides, and then shows up again and it 
never ends.

Any help would be appretiated.
