glib: love to have GIO::GLocalFile::canonicalize_filename in glib

Hi,

just noticed that GLocalFile have a static function to canonicalize a
file name, canonicalize_filename().  the function does not depends on
gio funcs at all.

So, wouldn't it be nice to have in glib, say gutils.c::g_path_canonicalize() ?

would you take a patch if I create it?
