I've done these now, just to get this damn thing done.

For this, I have made it possible to run with _no_ input method, and
got a tentative agreement from the gtksourceview guys to look at
doing a patch that adds enough signals to GtkTextView to make it
unnecessary for them to poke directly at the im context.

Apart from this exception, I am going to declare 2.20 api frozen after
releasing 2.19.5
later today. Later this week, I'm going to send another mail with my
thoughts on how
we can move forward with 3.0 from this point.
