Well, not quite. This one has a fixed number of columns (or rows,
depending on the orientation). That makes its layout quite different
than if the number of rows was variable. I think of this one as being
like newspaper columns.

Maybe it's not wanted by many people, but people ask for it every now
and then. I want it myself, so I obviously have an incentive to have it
maintained inside GTK+.
