Hi Tristan,
I should have let you know but I did eventually get around to creating the bugzilla report (# 674214)

BTW - while I was adding my bugzilla report I happened to spot bugs 636758, 674269 and a couple of others about gtk filechooser dialog crashing (either while being shown or dismissed). I also suffer badly from this on Windows. Have any of the devs managed to reproduce it / fix it?
