Hello,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I am currently looking at trying to resurrect the distutils support for
building PyGObject, as the build of G-I using Visual C++ has now landed
in its master branch, and I am starting from the setup.py/dsextras.py
files that are supplied in PyGObject-2.28.6, so that one can develop
using Python and PyGObject easier on the Windows/MSVC side, and AFAICT
it would be a good test bed of G-I functionality on that platform.
As I am not that familiar with the distutils mechanism, I thought it
might be helpful to me if I can find out:
-Any things I need to look out for when I try port the distutils items
from 2.28.6 to the current/master branch, perhaps in particular the
codegen items?
-Any other things that might be pointers or items of interest in the
process?
With blessings, thank you!
