GtkAction, GtkStock, GtkUIManager etc have been deprecated. But it
should still be possible to use them.

I've just pushed a testcase (https://git.gnome.org/browse/gtk+/tree/tests/teststockbuttonmenu.c) that shows things related to stock icons, buttons, menuitems and actions working as I would expect them to, including gtk_action_set_always_show_image.
