How to use gtk with WindowMaker ?

Hello everybody.

I just started my first X-windows program using gtk and have two
questions:

1-
I beleive there are some special functions to use gtk in combination
with WindowMaker (eg wm-class). Does anyone have some documentation 
and/or examples how to use these functions ?

2-
The destroy signal doesn't seem to get called when I use the kill/close
button in the titlebar, has this to do with the use of WindowMaker and
how can I resolve this.
