animation - preview ?

Hi,

  I'm working on a small app using gtk+, in which I have a small
'video' player (think 'xanim' here).  I'm using a gtk_preview
widget for this.

- Is it a good idea to use gtk_preview for this ?  

If not:

- So, which gtk+ widget should I use ?

If yes:

- How can I do double-buffering with gtk_preview ?
