Notes on 1.0/1.1 series

An organizational note for those of you giving patches against
the CVS tree:

To check out the 1.0.x series from CVS, do the following:

cvs checkout -r gtk-1-0 gtk+

The main branch (cvs checkout gtk+), is now 1.1 and open to
development patches.

You should specify if you upload patches for the 1.0 series.
(Those patches will not be applied if they break compatibility.)
