Personally I have never understood why having a container window 
with lots of other windows inside is any good. Having a notebook 
interface on the other hand is definitely something I would want. 
The ability to deattach pages so they become independant windows 
would be good too. 

This and having a tree structure of operations for the GIMP 
is on top of my wishlist :). Where the operations are nodes 
and can be applied and deapplied with a checkbox. Would be like 
a CVS with several branches. Much faster than using undo/redo. 
Oh, and the ability to save the tree so others can continue to 
work on your neat ideas.
