IDEs?

  I'm compiling my gtk programs with Cygwin gcc in Windows (to be later
ported to Linux and Irix).  
  
  Notepad is starting to suck. ;-)   Would anybody recommend their
favorite IDE for this sort of thing?
  Has anybody tried gide (gtk IDE) yet?
