I'm pretty sure I've seen some other projects like this, but this is
the only one I could find tonight:
Glaser, Hugh and Trevor J. Smedley, ``PSH - the next generation of
command line interfaces'', in Proceedings of the Eleventh IEEE
Symposium on Visual Languages, Darmstadt, Germany, pp 29-36, 1995.
The basic point is to make use of a data-flow visual language called
Prograph (developed by Smedley and Phil Cox, and sold by a company
named Pictorius Ltd.) as a shell.
