While we're on the subject of awkward Motif-like widgets, I really think
that GtkHPaned & GtkVPaned should be changed - i.e. get rid of the handle
and make them resizable along their entire length. (Just like in Windows,
coincidentally!)

I'll even volunteer to write it, if noone else already has.

PS. I prefer the MS-Windows style check/toggle buttons as well.
