gtk+ install problem

Hello,
I have a problem installing GTK+. i installed glib fine, did ldconfig,
then went on with ./configure for gtk+, found glib fine. then when i do
make      , it says

making all in po
*** No rule to make target 'deNONE' needed by 'all-yes'

then it goes on with error and quits. This is immeditly after i type
make and hit enter.

Please help
