Chad,
If you are looking at frameworks for GTK, you might want to
consider looking at ViewKit. While it's current implementation
is Motif specific, the overall architecture might be a good
starting point for a framework for GTK. The Hungry Programmer's
have a free "clean room" implementation of ViewKit on their
ftp site;
ftp://ftp.japhar.org/pub/hungry/viewkit/libvk-Apr19-2243.tar.gz
You can also find information about ViewKit on the following
web sites;
http://www.viewkit.com/
http://reality.sgi.com/rhess_engr/
The first web site is sponsored by ICS and they have links to the
ViewKit technical documentation on the SGI web site. The other
web site is my home page and I've got links to several articles
about ViewKit that were written for "The Motif Developer" (also
sponsored by ICS);
http://www.motifzone.com/tmd/tmd.html
Hope this helps,
:-l
