Thanks for all the responses, If Lupus (the maintainer of the Gtk-Perl perl
bindings) has no problem with this I will have a look at requesting a
mailing list somewhere. 

I suggest a list called 'gtk-perl'

Does anyone have a view on the best host for this?

egroups.com - seems very simple to setup and subscribe

sourceforge.net - AFAIK also simple.

redhat.com - would they host it? At least gtk-list and gtk-perl archives
would be on the same site. The archives are not visible on a web search, is
this a benefit or a loss?
