Changing resolution through the coding

Hi 

  In case my previous email was not send out successfully.
I just send it again, my question is:
I would like to write a code to change the resolution, instead of pressing ALT-ENTER + or - to change the resolution. 
 I would appreciate it if someone can tell me how to do it
or whether can I find a sample or information.
