Yes, you're right. I found the error; it was:
make install-exec-hook
make[4]: Entering directory
`/home/vike/pmt/rwan/gtk/untar/pango-rc1-1.0.0/pango'
make[4]: *** No rule to make target `install-exec-hook'. Stop.

I'll find the new pkg-config and see if that fixes my problem;
