Hi,
1. Use sudo. I think it should work.
or
2. Add user you want to modify the file to group which owns the file, and add write permission for group.
or
3. If you have filesystem with ACLs (like XFS) just add ACL for this user with write permission.
or
4. Hack the library. ;)
