This is a XFree86 bug, which has been fixed in XFree86 CVS:
http://bugs.xfree86.org/show_bug.cgi?id=611
If you've submitted another bug about it, you should mark it as a
duplicate. As it happens, this bug will affect GTK+-2.2.3 less,
but that's pretty much just coincidental... a side effect of fixing
a different bug.
