Well, in an app where I use modules, _all_ modules export the
same symbols (actually only one symbol). I load them with
G_MODULE_BIND_LAZY flag a get the symbol address with
g_module_symbol(). I can't imagine how having several
instances of the same module differs from simply incementing
its refcount.
