SUMMARY Re: GTK 2.10 gdkasync.c compilation help

Thanks to Trond Hasle Amundsen and Valdis Kletnieks vt edu for
their guidance.  

Since I was using the gcc compiler, I used the patch change from 
Trond in the failed source code gdkasync.c suggestion.

The compile proceeded from that point sucessfully.
