Is anyone else equally frustrated?
Me too, I simply can't understand who came how in the idea to design
such a fileopen dialog.
All file-dialogs follow almost the same style, just GTK does its own
thing and in my opinion its design has no benefits but just causes
frustration (at least this is true for me).
That is very strange indeed. What reasons were used to create such
an terrible, useless nonsens etc thing. Once upon a time there was
Intuition library with its simple, robust, *intuitive* asl file
requester. But it was in the good ald computing days, where people were
think (IMHO) in more stright forward way. what happens now (gnome, gtk
fopen dialog for example) is beyond my understanding. That is not the
way I like that the computers are going.
Where are those minds who created MUI, asl, reqtools and so on? Yes
these thing are from Amiga world.
Just my 2 cents.

Piotr L.
