gtk+ and X11r7.1

    Would anyone happen to know what libraries are required to gtk+
installation using XR7.1 ? I don't know what packages to get. I can't seem
to get git to compile either and I don't know if it knows the requirements
for gtk+. That's all I want is a backend for cairo and what I need for gtk+.
